A group of excited learners from Port St John’s Community Senior Primary School enjoyed an unforgettable boat ride adventure with ProDive, discovering the magic of the mighty Mzimvubu River firsthand. For many of these young adventurers, it was their first time ever stepping onto a boat, and they couldn’t have been more thrilled as they explored the river’s winding paths and picturesque surroundings. As they cruised along the waters, they learned about the incredible Sardine Run – a spectacular migration that happens right off their shores every year.
For these young kids, it was a chance to see the wonders of the Wild Coast up close and understand the vital role that the Sardine Run plays, not just in the local ecosystem but also within their community. This yearly attraction brings an influx of marine life, which boosts the local economy through tourism and fishing.
This little excursion turned into a fun and educational way to connect the next generation with the world beneath the waves and all that it has to offer us!
